This was an original house in Northcote that the owners wished to extend and modernise sympathetically.
The task was to appraise the originality of existing structures, fittings and decorative features; advise on preservation of original features and how to make alterations sympathetic to the original; and advise on typical colour schemes and appropriate front fence styles.
The Authentic Age provided a written report containing a detailed appraisal of the property, options for work to be done and recommended suppliers and contractors. The result was that the clients were able to brief their architect and builder more confidently as to what was required to meet their wish to retain the period flavour of the property.
